The Futuro Latino Learning Center (FLLC) provides educational opportunities to the
Latino community of Baltimore County. Created from Goucher College's Office of Community-Based Learning, allows a unique learning experience to our Goucher student leaders, who run the
programs, teach the classes, and sometimes get course credit. Goucher students get
real-world opportunities to improve their Spanish conversational skills and interact
with the local Latino community in a meaningful way.
Our participants come from all over the Latin America, and live mostly in northern
Baltimore County. Saturday's participants gather in the Athenaeum's Pinkard Community
Service Center to practice conversation skills and to receive ESL and basic computer
training. All sessions have children programs that include playtime and a cultural
program to keep them in touch with their Hispanic heritage.
We are proud to be a multicultural and bilingual organization; everyone is welcomed
so join us!
